Vanos & Camshaft

We're now starting to see a lot more common issues with these two engines, most notably the vanos and camshaft jamming faults. this fault normally ends up with the replacement of the vanos unit, camshaft and vanos bolt. There have been many revisions to these parts and therefore have to all be updated to the latest part numbers at the same time.

Turbo / Mainifold

​

The turbo is part of the exhaust manifold on these engines, they're also water cooled. Its becoming more and more common that these manifolds crack and let coolant into the exhaust system causing your vehicle to pour smoke out of the back. From experience we will only fit genuine manifolds direct from BMW.
